Woo hoo, I published The Boy Next Door last weekend and am thrilled that it is now out there!
At the moment it is only available on Amazon kindle and I thought I would explain why I published this way.
I am a self published author, I don't have a publisher and I do all the work myself. The kindle platform makes it easy for us indie authors to get our work out into the world and make a little bit of cash out of our work.
I like the idea of publishing on kindle for several reasons:
I can reach a worldwide audience very easily with it, readers from Australia to Alaska can enjoy my stories.
I like that I'm not adding to 'stuff' in peoples homes. I started using a kindle to read many years ago and love that I don't have loads of books cluttering up my house. Don't get me wrong, I love going into a book shop and will buy factual books so I can refer back to them, but for me, it's kindle all the way with fiction.
If you don't have access to a kindle, but have a tablet or smart phone, you can access the kindle app for free. If you want to read my book simply download the app from your app store and search for the book. Easy peasy.
So I hope that helps you to understand why my work is only available in this format for the time being. I am figuring out how to print through the Amazon service for authors and will tell you when I figure it out, but for now, I hope you can enjoy the book in a e-format.
